• As the mowing season here in Minnesota draws to a close I would like to take the time to comment on the performance of the 72” front mount flail deck we purchased from Trimax earlier this summer. As you may recall we maintain nearly 300 acres of turf areas covering most applications, from highly maintained athletic fields to native prairie. The deck did well in most areas with the only noticeable difference being it’s slower turning around trees. This difference was minimized when the operators became use to the decks handling. We like the fact the knives stay sharper longer cutting maintenance time. We also like the location of grease points, the easier they are to get at the more likely they will get grease. Given these points the deck has preformed as advertised. Through out the season only one difficulty arose, an inexperienced operator managed to pick up a large stone and caused damage to the rotor and a series of knives. Our maintenance man was worried about service support and availability of parts. We found these worries to be unfounded. The customer service personnel were more than helpful, able to get us clear and concise information when needed, despite the time zone differences.
  I feel the Trimax front mount deck is a very versatile piece of turf maintenance equipment for our application. We look forward to many years of service from this deck.
